About Me
I am a Aurora Colorado native, graduated from Horizon High school in Broomfield, Colorado. I went to Metropolitan State College of Denver where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science with an Elementary Education minor and focus in Sociology. I finished my Masters in Special Education through Western Governors University. This is my sixth year at Vista Peak. Before beginning my career as a teacher I was a Kindergarten para educator for 6 years and a Special Education para for 3 years. I have been working in schools since I was 16 years old beginning with the Before and After School Program. I love that I have found my home at Vista Peak with the opportunity to watch students grow and develop through their high school years.
I love watching students grow each year and persist through struggles they encounter. It is truly amazing to see students grow into life long learners and problem solvers as they become successful people and contribute positively to the community.
I enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy dirt bike riding and exploring the outdoors.
I believe that every students can learn and will be successful in the right environment. It is amazing to see students taking the lead in their learning and teaching me new things daily. We are a community that learns and grows together academically and personally.
